Recent correspondence

I recall that Brian Manners organised us to play a movement of the Mozart Clarinet Quintet with William and Sarah on violins, me on viola, I think Trudy Richards on cello and Claire on the clarinet. Perhaps I could suggest a reprise ???…..My voice is very rusty - over the years I had to choose between orchestra or choir, and orchestra won. One thing I am very sure of is that my voice has dropped and there is no way I will be able to sing soprano in October!! I have printed off 4 of "our" madrigals and will try and learn the alto parts…..I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone again - though I know that I will need a lot of help in recognising people. I trust LARGE ID badges are going to be issued!!….Judith P

I have my travel arrangements booked and my spotty handkerchief packed. All that remains is for me to get my vocal chords oiled and serviced, although I'm not really sure if even that will help. The old gearbox that couples what's in my head with what comes out of my mouth seems to be a bit croaky, but then given my old Toyota van is only twenty years old and I already nurse that along with a wish and a prayer nearly every day, I can't expect all that much from my own failing fifty plus bits…. I was thinking about Maggie Swaffield and, as I do genealogy as a hobby, I searched the records. I found she was born in Bridport in 1953 (which fits) and got married to a Jeremy C.N. Gann in Bridport in 1975 – after that I drew a blank, except to confirm she never remarried or died! Perhaps you know someone in Bridport who might throw some light on where she lives now. Cheers , Nick C

Dear Adrian. We have just moved back to Dorset and am now living in Beaminster. Am really looking forward to seeing some faces that I have not seen for over 40 years- as well as those who were at the Millenium reunion again. I have even persuaded my sister Juliet to come to the evening do ! Viv B
